But was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what the issue could be if its a common problem on a 2000 996 3.4 and if so what part should I order which I can replace when I get to the garage?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I noticed a small puddle forming under the car recently after driving and parking up. Its coming from the front center area of the car but behind the front wheels. In line with the front of the doors. Checked the liquid and it seems to be water. I havent the means to lift the car at my place currently but I will be taking it to a garage soon to do abit of maintenance where I will have access to a lift. But was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what the issue could be if its a common problem on a 2000 996 3.4 and if so what part should I order which I can replace when I get to the garage? please see attached photo to show where the leak is hope you can help

POST 2Original post

Most likely coming from your air conditioning, normal occurrence.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Oh, so probably just condensation? Its clear water so I didnt suspect it to be coolant as thats pink in colour The AC is always on whenever I start the car (even if I switched it off on a previous drive) and its been hot past few weeks so been using it on every drive

POST 4Original post

Most likely water from the AC, but I would still check your drains if youve never done so or havent in awhile. Mine were plugged up last I checked, and I had standing water in the catch areas after I washed my car.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently cleared the scuttle area of any debris that was collect around the drain hole rubber grommets but how do you clear out the drain holes past the hole in the scuttle? Using one of those drain snakes or will that damage something? Does the ac drain pipe exit from under the dash through to the floor?
