I just picked up my new baby this past Saturday, speed yellow. When I pulled out of the dealer the stereo was working fine. On sunday morning I was out for a cruise and the system had no bass. It sounds like only the four surround speakers are playing. There is no depth to the music at all. So monday I take it to the shop and they plug it in to the computer. But it says subwoofer is testing fine. There is no sound and they are not sure what it is. Anyone else had this problem with the bose PCM system?
When you adjust the base, treble, SurroundSound, etc. is there no change in the sound coming from the speakers? Sub woofers usually have their own power supply, could there be a blown fuse for the sub-woofer?

There is no bass in the whole car. Even when it is adjusted to plus 9.
Is that large mouth or small mouth bass? I reckon you need a new lure to get them thar bass to jump in yer boat... /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/tounge_smile.gif
Seriously, let us know what the dealership discovers but it could be a dead amp or disconnected MOST link.
The dealer thinks it might be an amp problem. He said I should have my car by tomorrow night. He also said they didn't know what was wrong, after tech looked at it, but were going to check with PCNA to see if this was a problem with other Cayman S's. They hoped that swaping out the amp would fix the problem. I know one thing, the down time is killing me. /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/cry_smile.gif
The only problem I have found with my Bose/PCM set up is, thevery poor sound quality of the rear speakers(when fade is adjusted to the rear) anyone else notice this - maybe I should get it checked out too.

I got my baby back today. She had a brand new amp installed. Thankfully that was the problem. Lets hope there isn't a problem that made the first one go bad. Anyhow, it's just great to get it back, I didn't realize how much I loved her till she was gone. /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/drinkers.gif
