Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No center cap crew... I wont be running center caps and my wheel hubs are sore sight. Has anyone taped and painted them, or is a full breakdown required?

POST 2Original post

Stoddard sells gray, high heat exhaust paint in quarts. Clean the hubs, prep with alcohol and brush the paint on. For such a small job, aerosol paint requires too much masking of not only the brake rotor and caliper, but the entire car. The spray in the air will coat just about everything in your shop, so it must be covered.

POST 3Original post

- make a couple of templates out of a paper plate or chipboard you can probably trace them off the back of the wheel barrels paint the centers black because they will get dirty I run with out caps too, just a preference

POST 4Original post

Tremclad or any metal paint flat black with a small brush. Will take minutes and easy touch up. I've brush painted lots of "hardly visible" parts on many cars. Never had a problem and very satisfied with the results. I hate spray paints due to all the masking.
