Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check impedance of all solenoids, pressure regulators, and speed sensors' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check impedance of all solenoids, pressure regulators, and speed sensors' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've been trying to capture data to show what's happening on my 2001 Tip. It functions as expected until it gets warm, then it goes into limp mode. I made this video using a Hantek 1008C O-scope. The next step is to interlace GoPro and PIWIS data to look at the actual time of failure / limp mode. 2001 Tip Signals

POST 2Original post

That sounds like the right next step. If it behaves normally cold but goes into limp once warm, I’d be looking for a heat-related issue: solenoid, valve body, wiring/connector or TCU signal. The key is seeing what changes at the exact moment it faults. That should tell you whether you’re chasing control/wiring or something inside the valve body. which fault codes are registering ?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Implausible errors for front wheels and turbine sensor, mainly. But, if it's slipping, those might be effect, not cause. I've checked all the wiring to/from the transmission and from/to the TCU. I've checked impedance of all solenoids, pressure regulators, and speed sensors.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 2812280

Here's the oddities: On a cold transmission, before limp mode, I'm pretty steadily getting front left and right wheel speed implausible. I've watched those signals on several different scanners including PIWIS, Autel, and Foxwell. In some cases I can see them from the ABS module and some from the Tip module. The signals from all wheels seem to be congruent until I hit about 30 mph. Then, they go away. So,I feel I should address this first. I've ordered new sensors for both front wheels and will assess the wheel well wiring when I start that operation. A friend thought it could be the CAN bus, but I have yet to see any wiring that's compromised.
