Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Has anybody noticed a loud clunky sound coming from the front of their cayman????? Everytime I go around a turn where the road is bumpy I notice this loud sound . I have PASM and think its a problem with cars equiped with this option. I have an 05 boxster S , no PASM, and never hear any thing like this when I go around a turn. Went to the dealership yesterday and test drove 2 of their caymans. Their cayman with the PASM also made loud clunky sounds from the front of the car going around bumpy roads yet the non pasm car did not. I will be very honest that I am not a fan of PASM and would not by another Porsche with it.

POST 2Original post

I don't know of any other PASM owners who have this problem. I have PASM and I can assure you I do not have this problem. The best thing to do is have your dealer look at the car to see if something is wrong, if so, diagnose it and fix it and then report what the problem actually was.

POST 3Original post

You check to make sure you don't have anything loose in the front trunk?

POST 4Original post

I drove both PASM and sans PASM and didn't notice any sound differences. Perhapsthere's a squirrelin the front boot. Paul

POST 5Original post

i have pasm and was hearing a clunking noise as well then when i opened up the front hatch i noticed it was an extra bottle of oil from the dealership. i took it out and noise anymore.

POST 7Original post

I have not noticed any noise as described either. And the roads around here are plenty bumpy..... I too would have the dealer take a close look at the car.

POST 10Original post

I have PASM and I have this problem. My car is going into the dealers tomorrow - I'll keep you posted.

POST 11Original post

I have PASM and three days in having the car,i dont hear any noise from the front part of the car.
