Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I was digging around the lower console and came across this cable tucked under the carpet. I am not sure if it was connected somewhere and I pulled it out or it was sitting loose. I cannot seem to find another end to connect it to. It has a part number 996.612.037.00 that comes up as a canbus extension cable but no other info. I think I might be having some background noise on my aux Bluetooth box after discovering this but not sure if I had it before. Any idea what it is or where it is supposed to connect to? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

This is a coax cable, so its either for the gps or phone system. do you have navigation in your car?

I have a Becker Traffic pro which has Navi but honestly I don't know or care if it works or not. So do you thing this is irrelevant to the background noise on with the aux?

POST 4Original post

yes. It is not relevant to the noise you have. This antenna belongs to the previously installed ORM equipment. as for the noise you have, try to replace the BT Box ground point and see if it helps.
