Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • PistonHeads: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Would this put you off? Positive side is the car is mega spec. Downside is maybe ragged in its early life by people not sympathetic to the car? PDK so no over-rev issue (?) but what are your thoughts on the whole?

POST 4Original post

Also did this. No issues for the seven years I owned it

POST 5Original post

I have purchased several ex demos, all without any problem

POST 7Original post

It’ll probably be fine. PDK stops all abuse to the driveline with the exception of aggressive driving when cold.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks again. Another QQ. Does a car of this generation (67 plate if it matters) have a traditional stamped service book or is it all digital?!

POST 9Original post

I bought a 67 plate 718 Cayman ex demo. No issue at all. Loads of spec. Ran like a dream all the while we owned it.

POST 10Original post

If it's a 67 then I'd be a lot more concerned about how it's been treated in the real world in the last 8 years - than in the first three months as a money no object demo.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

To the above post, car looks in exceptional condition, which is a good sign. Very low mileage too. So it is a 67-plate and this is the service history. It will also have a service (OPC) prior to sale. Does this look ok? Two majors in a row? Gap to the pending service 2.5 years but car is very low mileage as I say.

POST 12Original post

1 private owner from new is no guarantee it has been nursed from cold.

Simon_GH said: 1 private owner from new is no guarantee it has been nursed from cold. This is very true of course.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So seller has confirmed no invoices, just the SH as per the Porsche database. Is this normal/expected? Cheers.

POST 15Original post

My own experience of buying from an OPC is that there are no invoices passed on.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guys, things being imperfect bug me more than they should. I notice this in quite a lot of 981s and 718s. Is this just a case of removing and reseating the trim piece? Or will it always be like this?

POST 18Original post

WhisperingWasp said: Thoughts anyone? Morning, go to say I have driven a few 718 and never seen this build quality before. Could it mean that part of the dash has been taken out for some reason. Agree it would bug me every time I got in the car unless it was sorted.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guys, anyone know this car? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202601199...

POST 20Original post

Ask the dealer. That trim piece slides out and there is a tab that should click in at the top there.
