It looks so nice in the vehicle, but it does create some issues when you need to replace stuff like this.

I got my boot from Black Forest but currently using a 997 shifter.

Hello all, I recently purchased my 996 C4S and as much as I love it, there are a few cosmetic items that will have to be addressed. My car has a natural brown interior. The interior is in great shape. The shifter, is an RUF shifter with a black boot. I'm not sure how it made its way into the car, but it feels out of place. I'm looking to replace this. Looking for any advice, including just finding a stock shifter and boot. Anyone have experience with this interior colour? Any colour combinations that you think would work well?

They have a lot of options. I have their black alcantara shift boot with silver stitching to match my interior bits and have been very happy with it.
I'll consider the black and silver. I had actually looked at their orange boots (the natural brown does have an orange quality to it) but the sales person there had mentioned that they thought it would be TOO orange against the interior. I'll circle back to them and look at some other combinations (including the black and silver).
For the boot, have you considered a black boot with orange stitching and a 997 shift **** of the same tan color. I got my boot from Black Forest but currently using a 997 shifter.
You are correct. When I went to sun coast the first time, all I was seeing was shift ***** and boots for $1200. I do see that they have one where the boot is part of the **** for $260. I'll consider that as well.
Natural brown is a great colour. It looks so nice in the vehicle, but it does create some issues when you need to replace stuff like this. I see some folks with some really nice wheels and shift *****, but in every picture, it's black on black.
Not to thread jack, but I�ve been trying to find a new boot/**** for my space grey interior. These seem to be hard to find a match since it�s darker than most greys. Any ideas?
So I would say for a colour like grey/space grey, the sites and suggestions that have been posted in the thread will look great! I knew about one of them, but found two new ones as a result of the thread. There are some wild colour combos and against a grey interior, they will look fantastic.
I have a very extended natural brown interior, $260??? for a brand new shift **** with a natural brown boot included? it shows the trim at the bottom in the suncoast picture, it would be good to know if its included, reason being my leather is wrapped and glued over the silver trim piece...
