Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Morning all, I’m in need of a replacement door speaker for my Cayman. I replaced one last year but now need to do the other because the 17 year old paper cone has failed… A single new speaker from the dealer is £82.24 from one of the specialists online but it’s 14 days to get one. Dealer is over £100! Trouble is there doesn’t seem to be any direct replacements I can see. Has anyone got any advice on what fits and what doesn’t?

SCR Distribution have a range of options, better than the o/e Porsche install but do tend to be more expensive: https://scrdistribution.co.uk/porsche-987-products...

POST 3Original post

I fitted the Focal option they were offering at the time on my 987.1. Great speakers/upgrade, easy swap, and very prompt friendly service.
