Remember, disconnecting the side airbag will throw the airbag light, so disconnect the battery before you take it out.
Leading evidence: 'Disconnect battery' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Then, carefully move the lower mounts, inwards will loosen the window glass against the seal, and moving them outwards will tighten the window against the seal.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
The top right corner of my driver window, as you look at it from outside the car,... at higher speeds air is coming in. I have tried tightening the bolt below the door...not sure I did it right. The window still goes up and down upon opening the door just fine.... nor does it move during driving.... I guess it just pulls away from door at higher speeds... any thoughts to fix?
If it's not seated on the rubber weather seal correctly, then you'll need to open the door panel to access the glass. The window regulator has mounts that you loosen to adjust the positioning of the window.
Getting the window glass seated against the seal is more an art than technical. Once the door panel is off, there are two bottom mounts for the window regulator. Before you loosen anything, take a sharpie and mark the current regulator mount points. Then loosen the nuts for the bottom mounts, don't remove them. Then, carefully move the lower mounts, inwards will loosen the window glass against the seal, and moving them outwards will tighten the window against the seal. Remember, disconnecting the side airbag will throw the airbag light, so disconnect the battery before you take it out.
Would this process tighten the window as well? Mine (windows) are loose so when you close the door it sounds like the window is flopping around inside the door(s)
Once the door panel is removed you will see how things work. The window glass has two mounts on the regulator and the regulator is mounted to the bottom of the door. Any of these could be loose or need adjustment. A simple aside, I would order a new regulator (for the specific door) and just replace it when you are in there. They wear out with time and the cables get loose. Maybe someone will remember the outfit that rebuilds the regulators to better than new.
These guys can't be beat for service and time, big plus is they use all metal parts. i've used them 3 times on Porsche and Mercedes.

great post, Ive struggled on 2 occasions to get my window sitting perfectly, just gave up and dealt with it for the past 18-24 months. I will give it another shot with these tips.
one thing I noted Even though I disconnected the battery before disconnecting the door airbag, I still get the airbag light. Its been my understanding that this does not actually affect use of the airbag in case of an accident, it just causes the light to be shown on dash. Can you confirm this? If not, and it actually prohibits the airbags from functioning then my next stop is the dealer to reset that.
Does not affect the airbag in case of an accident. Durametric and many simple OBDII scanners can reset the airbag light. Maybe a buddy or neighbor has one that will work. Don't go to a "stealership" for this simple reset.
But be mindful, if it is "seeing" a fault during the initial startup test, then the SRS part in question (e.g. driver-side door airbag) may not deploy in a side impact accident. It's not that it deactivates the airbag, it's just warning YOU of a potential problem that needs to be solved for the SRS to pass for normal operation. Using a good scanner like the Durametric will help zero in on the actual fault, but if you got it when you removed side airbag, then that could be the problem. Did you remove the seat?
Following. I have the exact same problem as the OP and spent quite a bit of time using the adjustment screws to fix it to no avail. I don't think I tried the above though.
When raising the glass I could get it to a point where there was more resistance when pulling a piece of paper out. But I could never get it as tight as the front half of the window where I couldn't remove the paper. I start noticing the noise around 50 MPH.
you cant clear the fault until the fault is corrected or the airbag light will come back on. Once the fault is corrected the airbag light will still remain on. Thats when you need a proper scanner that will reset the airbag light. Most scanners that are made for the Porsche SRS modules will clear the airbag light.
