Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Same, my 996.1 is on Bilstein B8 and H&R -30 springs (albeit I've replaced every arm, bush, top mounts and ARB too).

It's booked in for geo -/ wheel alignment - I'd be interested to hear what geometry settings others are running on a lowered road-focused 996 (targa / c2) .

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, My 996 C2 Targa has recently had Bilstein B8s and 30mm lowering springs fitted (with new top mounts, arms etc) It's booked in for geo -/ wheel alignment - I'd be interested to hear what geometry settings others are running on a lowered road-focused 996 (targa / c2) . Mainly fast road and B-road use. Chat GTP said : Front camber: -1.3° Rear camber: -1.8° Front toe: 0 Rear toe: 8 minutes toe-in per side Thanks Guys

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

there are two local places. one (who tried to do it last time) states they have a porsche guy who is back from holiday this week, and can do it. I'm more worried about knowing the geo numbers to try and hit.

POST 5Original post

I'm running a 9972: front camber 1.15 front toe 0.1 each side rear camber 1.5 rear toe 0.13 each side This set up works well on road and track, and I don't have excess wear on the rear axle.

Same, my 996.1 is on Bilstein B8 and H&R -30 springs (albeit I've replaced every arm, bush, top mounts and ARB too). But, this car is on X74 suspension settings. It drives phenomenal and sits beautifully without any spacers needed.

POST 7Original post

Stance is just right, is the ride compromised in any way?

honestly its phenomenal, the can hasn't had spacers or anything so its correct OE spec. It drives and accelerates in a straight and true line, grips phenomenal with a front end bite that is perfect and the back is tight, no bottoming out and flat. No regrets, I was worried when I researched every one saying too hard for UK roads and I found it perfect for B road blasting, you know its seriously sorted but doesn't scream modified if that makes sense.
