Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

OK so one post and the question is so vague. Does the noise speed up and slow down as the car speeds up and slows down? Is it a chronic or intermittent? Have you pulled the wheels on that side of the car and had a look yourself for evidence of articulating surfaces ? This is a solid blog for gaining knowledge and help to be sure, however, you’re not typing to Merlin of the Porsche spirit world either.
Agree with the comments above! That said and a shot in the dark… I once had a small stone get caught between the brake rotor and the metal guard. Sounded awful. Took a small twig and flicked the stone out, problem solved.
Do you still have the noise?
