Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

2007 Cayman Base. 33k miles, just bought it. 17 inch factory wheels. Has a very loud squeak in the right front. Every bump it squeaks. If you push down on the fender it squeaks. My question is are there any lube points up there or is it something thats just worn out because everything up there is sealed?

POST 2Original post

Probably worn parts. Probably the control arm bushing, but you just need to look out there and see what's up. Nothing we can point to remotely. Have a friend push the suspension while you poke around and see where it's coming from. No other way to troubleshoot this...

POST 3Original post

I had same problem on my boxster when I bought it except it was the rear. Was fine driving around, but going over speed bumps it made a terrible racket. Everything looked fine suspension wise so took to a local indy to see what they thought. Took a bit, but they finally determined that one bolt didn't get torqued quite enough after dealer did an alignment and that was where the noise was coming from.
