Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

As the latch has already been changed, I’d check the handle cable/rod adjustment and make sure everything is seated properly before blaming another part.

Check your rubber seals on the actual handle aren't missing on one side too as the door handle will sit in a different position if they're missing:

I replaced the door latch which has remedied the window drop problem but compared with the passenger door it is still not quite right.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi Y'All,
I replaced the door latch which has remedied the window drop problem but compared with the passenger door it is still not quite right. If I pull up the outer passenger door handle with the door closed the handle only requires a very small amount of travel and the window drops, at this point the latch is still engaged. On the drivers side the handle requires pulling out much further so that the latch is released. Although the window does drop this does not feel right. Am I right in thinking the drivers door microswitch is worn?
Do I need this part?

Yes, that sounds like the right area. The window should drop quite early as you lift the handle, before the latch actually lets go. If the passenger side does that but the driver’s side only drops when the door is almost opening, something in the handle/latch actuation is slightly out.
As the latch has already been changed, I’d check the handle cable/rod adjustment and make sure everything is seated properly before blaming another part. Could still be a tired microswitch, but I’d look at adjustment first.

What's the saying - 'Out of sight, out of mind'!
The other day I'm washing my car and giving it a good hose down when the passenger side window starts erratically bobbing up and down (the amount it does when you open the door). It continued to do this until I managed to open the door and lower it slightly. As soon as the window was put back up it would start doing it again.
So I then go through the process of browsing here and youtube to see how to remove the door card, etc.
It's at that point you realise how shoddy some people in the trade are and the mentality of 'you can't see it...
