Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got a 1999 C4 3.4, when I start the car in the morning the oil pressure is around 5 bar, as it warms up and is running at say 2k to 3k rpm it settles at around 3.5 bar.Once at normal operating temp at 2k the pressure is between 2 to 3 bar and only goes to 4 bar and marginally over once you get to 4k rpm. Even if you go past 5k rpm it doesn't go any higher. I've know someonme with a new C4S who says his pressure is regularlt around 5 bar regardless of temp. I have owned 964, 911 including turbo and the pressure ahs always been around 4 bar once you get to 2k to 3k rpm. Should I be concerned ?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The book say's it OK providing it read a minimum of 4 bar at 5000 if I recall correctly. It wasn't so much the pressure at the higher rev's more that it seemed low at lower revs.
