Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
105 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
PistonHeads: 1 discussions
0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Good to see new 911’s are landing in the GB of UK. Please post here how many weeks have you waited:
1. What model and derivative, e.g. 992 C2, C2S, C4S, GTS, …
2. Date of order
3. Weeks from Order to Build slot allocation
4. Weeks from Order to Delivery of the car
I think it will be a great direct feedback from the market to see if the situation is improving or deteriorating. Otherwise we are at the mercy of the SE giving us their opinion, rather than facts.

That is amazing, @shocks , do you have a good relationship with DP? How did you get GT3 allocation?
I get on well with them, have bought several cars over the years and this is my fourth GT car, sold all of them back to same OPC.
That said, not been able to get Touring spec this time or an RS allocation, maybe next year

That looks fantastic in red, congrats.
I was never a massive fan of the 992 in general and I think it’s more colour sensitive than the 991.2. Looks great in this colour though!

Visited my dealer this weekend to book a base Macan. He estimated April 2023 delivery. However he showed me a list of all the deposits they have taken. He had 25 deposits for 992 base C2 and said they are expecting 4 build slots for 2023. On the contrary he only had one deposit for 992 S as most buyers are going towards GTS. Just though to share this info!

Very interesting, @Docmem , similar story all over the place.
As 992 gets older, production shifts towards higher spec models.
I am told that release of 992.2 is imminent, as it normally coincides with the last trick in Porsche book, the GT3RS.
My god its slightly depressing reading how long the wait is / and could be for some people. (not complain...all good things come to those that wait!).
Anyway as a thank you for the current wait time, my Cayman is going into OPC Preston for its MOT on Saturday and they are loaning me a 911 for the weekend. Cant complain.

I wonder what is the wait time in Germany. I thought of placing an order with a German dealer, but Brexit made it more complex and costly.

According to my local Posche dealer delivery for a GTS in Ulm Germany is around 18 months. VAT 19%, but UK price, spec for spec works out around 9% cheaper when exchange rate was around 1.15.

I was told by my dealer that 911 is more expensive in Germany, but they have higher (std) spec, while we have more features as options. I guess one can verify that with the configurator and spec sheets. 18-months is similar to us, so no arbitrage opportunity
I have a 992 Targa GTS on order deposit paid March 2022 been told to expect delivery 18-24 month later.
Current 992 C2S ordered Nov 2019 delivered to dealer March 2020 the day we locked down so took delivery June 2020.

Carrera T is a great vehicle! Old school derivative.

The specs are the same. I end up adding the same. UK price 150,764 Pounds. DEU Euro price 191,127.
As a side check out the DEU Konfigurator as it is a new format, I assume coming to UK soon:

Update for my April 22 C2 order.
Have heard very little from the dealer where order was placed. By chance walked into another OPC and was offered a C2 slot with a build lock a couple of days away. Fearing the .2 would not be quite to my liking (LCD gauges, Intelligent Speed Assist mandatory, price hike) I jumped on it. Car hopefully arriving in April!

Targa 4 GTS ordered August 22.
Declined a June 23 slot as PTS not available - regretting not taking it and negotiating an early 992.2 & PTS slot / trade in.
Now waiting for PTS and 992.2. (But, as per above, maybe an imminent non-PTS slot, if I can get an "agreement" on a Targa GTS PTS 992.2).

Update: still waiting for my 992.2 Targa 4 GTS PTS slot.
But I did go for a 991.1 Targa 4 GTS in Artic Grey as an interim. Ordered 31/8/23, spec locked 22/9/23, delivered 8/11/23.

Update #2:
Got allocated my 992.2 Targa 4 GTS PTS slot a few weeks ago - December build, so possibly a nice Christmas present, though more likely January!
And it showed up in My Porsche last week - phase 1, with the picture showing the actual PTS colour I specified.
(And, yes, I went for a 992.1 T4GTS as my interim, not 991.1... typo. I've absolutely loved it, but am sure I'll love the new one even more.)

Wow, how things have changed most of the 911 models are available off the floor, excluding GT derivatives.
I don't think even wealthy people can justify the 30k (?) to switch from .1 to .2. in the past the gap was smaller
Loads of 911s in my local area (probably 40) but almost all 992.1. Hardly see any 992.2, to the extent they are as likely to be .2 GT3 / GT3T as they are Carrera!
There is a lovely dark green touring floating around, how the other half live!
I am 82,000 miles up now in my 992.1 C2 (Politeperson). I notice I am still no.1 for my delivery date, December 2019.
I have never had an issue and the car is still in perfect condition.
It is kept out of UV and away from Salt- thats all.
Porsche in Nottingham have serviced it from new. The big one was an accessory belt, plugs and brake fluids with oil and filters for £2,000 at 60,000 miles.
At the time , I didn't think about the purchase, I did no research at all.
I just thought that all the 911 models to date have been good news running wise and depreciation wise.
Having driven nearly all the models, I am still of the opinion that most of the options are a waste of money apart from your color choice.
I think the non chrono cars are mapped differently. They dont need a dial to go into Sort mode, just a shove of the right foot and it does it instantly.
When it cam time to change it, I just couldn't see the point. They would want my car and another £50k to sell me something just the same.
There is nothing wrong with the one I have got. To me, its perfect.
I plan to keep it.
