Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good morning, I just purchased a 2009 997.2 S. Excellent car! Love driving it. Haven't done any tinkering yet. Just wondering if removing front wheel well liners will expose the underside of the top of the fender. One small dent that needs attention. Does anyone have experience with paintless dent repair? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

Paintless dent repair works great. You are right, they do have to access the backside of the dent. I don't think the whole fender is accessible from the inside, but the guys at your body shop would know.

POST 3Original post

A good PDR man/woman can perform miracles . If you have a Porsche dealership near you ask them who they use . If not ask a few shops they will know who's good vs not .

POST 4Original post

In metro areas, especially those prone to hailstorms, there are specialized shops that perform PDR exclusively. These shops usually know the nuances and idiosyncrasies of modern cars, and their techs are the best in their field; they do not chase hail from town to town in search of business.
