Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

By far the safer option in the log run - learn how to control the car, not how to trust my rear-end to a computer whilst remaining blissfully ignorant.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know if PSM can be retro-fitted to a MY02 Carrera 2? Thanks in advance Ian W

POST 2Original post

I very much doubt it. Even if it could, the cost would probably be prohibitive

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the reply Time to stop being a tart and relying on nannying safety-net systems! Seriously, the better solution when I think about it is to go on a proper driving course and learn to drive the thing sideways. By far the safer option in the log run - learn how to control the car, not how to trust my rear-end to a computer whilst remaining blissfully ignorant. [ ] Anyone know of a really good car-control course? Ian W

POST 4Original post

Absolutely spot on. It makes me laugh when I read posts that suggest that a 996 is somehow less safe if it doesn't have 4wd or PSM. They might help out an idiot from time to time but, eventually, an idiot will come to grief, whatever the car and whatever the driver aids. IMO all the best 911s are 2wd with no driver aids.
