I have a new 2025 911 on a ship soon to dock. I thought I read somewhere that the new 2025 will come with a front license plate bracket / holder. Or was I imaging that?

You mean ready present and integrated into the bumper cover or with an available kit? My 2011 has the kit, but it’s in the OEM bag because I wouldn’t drill to have a front plate. I was never ticketed when I lived in a state that required a front plate and where I live now only requires a rear plate. There are also kits to adapt said plate into the front tow hook receptacle if you are so inclined.

I mean the black plastic holder that comes from the factory that is shaped to fit on the front and you do need to drill two holes to mount it. It came in the trunk of a couple Boxsters I had but not the last Carrera I bought. I live in Maryland and called my local state police barracks and spoke to the Commander. He said, "there must be a plate mounted on the front, outside, or my Troopers will ticket you. It's $175 and you cannot lay it on the dashboard like those Corvette guys do". I do't know if one of those comes with the new 2025 Carrera but I'll in a week or so.

With all the crime in Maryland, I would be shocked if any State Trooper bothered anyone over this. He's just parroting the company line. My 911 has that kit sitting on the parts shelf. I took it off the Boxster . Who backs away from a bank robbery to avoid identification? Silly rule.

im in texas where a front plate is required. ive never had one on my corvette and the first thing i did when i got my 997.1TT was remove the front plate and bracket. its been that way for almost 2 years and 16k miles without a problem. I've been stopped in my corvette for supposedly rolling a stop sign and he didnt say a word about no front plate.
