Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Can you easily determine if a 996 GT3 / aero bodykit is genuine????? Any help appreciated...I would assume genuine porsche items would have serial numbers etc somewhere!

POST 2Original post

The part numbers are all on the back sides of the pieces. One way to tell is that the Factory parts are flexible palstic (Urethane I think) instead of fiberglass (FRP). I don't know of any "affordable" aftermarket pieces that are not made out of FRP. I'm sure that Ruf or some other maufactures make them in the flexible stuff but they will not be a direct copy of the Factory pieces then.

POST 3Original post

You can check the options that were ordered with the car to see if it originally came with that. I forget what the option code is, mine has it on the sticker, I can look it up later on... -Wayne
