That you should change the rears to another brand of springs and dampers to go with your updated front Ohlins?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Looking to put upgraded coilovers on my car. It looks like both of these model numbers fit my car but I'm not sure what the difference is between the two. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.
Ohlins POZ MN02 vs Ohlins POZ MW00
What Justin said. Just call them. There was a recall that affected Turbo and 4S cars only so one could be the new part number. C2 RWD cars were not affected by the recall.
Found this recall info if anyone is curious

Turns out the
POZ MN02
is a recalled part and the
POZ MW00 is the replacement
if i understand correctly, it sounds like the recall relates to the front struts....if so, how does one deal with the rear suspension components? is there a preferred replacement for the rears, something that would pair well with the newly replaced front Ohlin's struts?
The C4 and Turbo front struts are different from the C2 because the front hubs are different. The strut location is not centered in the hub of the C4 and Turbo because of the front drive shafts, IIRC time strut is offset behind the centerline of the hub. It has been a while (7 years) since I installed them on my turbo. I did get the recall and replaced the front struts. Ohlins sent me new struts and Elephant Racing top mounts.
Mark
Hardtailer and 168Sierra, what did you opt for regarding the rears..to maintain, optimize, balance and work well with the new Ohlin's front struts. I've briefly searched a few online shops and can not seem to find any Ohlin's rear strut options advertised for purchase.
I was/am assuming you run a complete set of Ohlins as in front and rear struts on your AWD 996.
You send the front ones back to Ohlins and they return to you a set of new ones including top mounts. You fit them and that is it.
Tbh I dont understand what else than the above you expect? That you should change the rears to another brand of springs and dampers to go with your updated front Ohlins?

thanks...i didn't express myself well, sorry
i guess what i was trying to express was a potential concern of the new front struts overwhelming the existant old/original rear struts..... and if so, how best to obviate this, as i did not find a listing for new rear Ohlin's struts
