Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

No experience of aftermarket stuff, but you see the odd used OE kit popping up on eBay from time to time (£3k-£5k).

Probably a mark 1 , for piece of mind, Defo some food for thought and will look into more as to a better idea of cost.

What I've learned is the bodykit parts are expensive so use platforms like Facebook and you can find things, this is a boot spoiler I've been watching a while

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thinking of getting back into a 911, fancy a 996 love the look of them with the aero kit. Lots of nice examples with out that look like great sorted cars but know I will always want the look, question are there any good manufacturers of rear wings side skirts etc or do they all look bad and fit poorly or could this be a realistic option to add on later? Anyone with experience of doing this etc be great to hear from
Many Thanks
No experience of aftermarket stuff, but you see the odd used OE kit popping up on eBay from time to time (£3k-£5k). But don't forget the requirement for the spoiler loom, coding out the active spoiler or the cost of the side skirt retaining clips. And paint.
All in all, just buy one with a kit already. They do come up.
Club autosport make GRP replica parts, I’ve no experience of them.

Probably a mark 1 , for piece of mind, Defo some food for thought and will look into more as to a better idea of cost. While also keep an eye out for as stated one with kit from factory
At least in the US, the OE .1 aero kit bits are blisteringly expensive vs .2 aero kit. Used tacos asking price $5,000+. New full OE .2 aero kits have more than doubled in last 4 years ($11,000+). Look for a car with installed aero these days. Just a thought: You might want to check out the Ruf website and do some comparison shopping, especially for Mk1 aero parts. They may have some goodies on the shelf.
Hold out for a car with aero if thats what you want, glad this one popped up whilst i was looking:

I originally thought i wanted a .1 but im glad i got the .2.
Wow looks great, what’s the spec and how long you had? What makes you glad you went for the .2?
My main reasoning is for the stronger engine, cable throttle etc
Thanks mate, its a daft spec on it, which is why i had to get it, X51 power kit, lsd, m030 (now replaced), carbon interior/ door sill plate, litronics, extended leather etc. etc. I've had it a little over 2 years now.
The extra low down/ mid range torque/ power up top is nice as well as having an actual glove box/ cup holders and i've not seen another .2 aero whilst i've owned mine but plenty of .1's. I'm sure i'd have been very happy with a .1 as well but im just suggesting you dont discount a .2 if one pops up.
It's worth noting that not all .1 are cable throttle and i bet no one would notice either way. The earlier 3.4 engines dont suffer from borescore as much and have a better ims by all accounts but do have head cracking issues/ 'd-chunking', the .1's are also much more prone to bodywork corrosion going off some of the threads on this forum! Either way if i was purchasing then i'd want to see behind the arch liners, especially at the rear.
Thanks for the advice, I had a 997 a few years ago, but all prices seemed to have jumped up, plan would be to get a low ish mile one and keep for as long as possible, the 997 was only car I made on got luck and prices jumped so made £5000 when sold, made the whole experience a winner after the other half moaning was going to be a money pit!!
I absolutely love the look of my 996.1 aero below

I think that could be had closer to £2k given how long it's been on sale. The point mentioned above is the wiring and coding out the OEM self raising spoiler can be silly expensive as the loom is very difficult to source.
Here is a link to a complete kit new, but a replica spoiler
