Suggestion

Any cheap scanner will check for fault codes.....No scanner can search "fault code memory" for codes that have previously been deleted.......That's why if you get a code, write it down before deleting.....Once deleted it's gone forever !!

Hi everyone, I have a enthusiast Durametric. The car I currently have is number 3. I�m wondering if I can still use the Ready status to see if warning lights were turned off for new purchases? I sold my car which is getting picked up Monday. I sold Durametric with it. I am looking at another car Sunday so hoping I can use the tool to check recent codes that were turned off for sale if any. From what I read, For a nominal fee you can send a durametric in and get a VIN deleted. OR upgrade to the pro functionality.

Any cheap scanner will check for fault codes.....No scanner can search "fault code memory" for codes that have previously been deleted.......That's why if you get a code, write it down before deleting.....Once deleted it's gone forever !! ( unless you're some kind of computer Tech Forensic Guru)..

Wait! Writing is for dinosaurs? Does that mean I can finally throw away all the coffee cups with pens and dull pencils that we have around the house that my wife insists we need? Sorry, not on topic. Codes aside, the durametric would be good to read over-revs and cam angles. These numbers may be more important to guess at engine health. Also, check the ECU VIN with the dash VIN. It might bring up questions about the mileage.
