Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello My 2001 911 996 was out on a test run for some potential new owners when we got back there was a lot of oil on the floor. I couldn't see the leak but there is oil dropping on to the right hand exhaust. Also there is oil in the water, which can never be a good thing! Has a head gasket gone? the engine oil is super clean. What about oil from any other source? I have booked it in with a specialist but wondered if anyone here can shed some light. She starts and seems to run fine but I don't want to do this for long.

Who was driving? Seems a bit odd - could something like this have gone on? Warning as dirty oil trick scammers tamper with car Cirencester couple feel vulnerable and stupid after the car scam attempt. www.bbc.com

POST 4Original post

How do you know there is oil in the water - from the coolant expansion tank? Remember the oil filler pipe attracts condensation and thus has mayo inside when opened, but that’s ok and normal if car not ran up to temp a lot
