Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

it’s been lowered - I think the 19” wheels fill the arches more than standard, but I may well be wrong about that!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
I wanted to say hi having just today moved up from a 986 to a 996. You could definitely say I've been bitten by the Porsche bug... I've thoroughly enjoyed my 18 months with a Boxster but when the opportunity arose and once I'd driven a 996, I couldn't resist. I've only really driven it home so far (the long way around, of course) and I absolutely love it.
Having already been a PCGB member for over a year, I've only made it to Porsches on the Prom in Llandudno so far, but I'm hoping to get to some more gatherings in the coming 12 months. Looking forward to sharing 996 experiences and info on here too!
Tim.
Thanks Geoff! [

it’s been lowered - I think the 19” wheels fill the arches more than standard, but I may well be wrong about that! I’m with you on the black - I looked seriously at a silver Targa too but this looks much meaner..!
Looks to be a lovely example - paintwork looks great from the photo. From the interior the 986 is very similar, but is the driver experience very different?
Cheers Tony, it is in great condition and appears to have been well cared for (fingers crossed!!). I expected it to feel like a bigger 986 but considering I've read about 30% of the parts are the same, the 996 feels totally different to me. It's obviously very early days, but I tried to throw the 996 around the narrow country lanes which make up the long way to work for me the other day and found it's not as "chuckable" as the 986 was. I guess mid engined v rear engined makes a big difference, plus the extra weight. My 986 was one of the last 2.5s so to go from that to a 3.6 is quite an adjustment too... The 996 felt more at home on the wider country roads, if that makes more sense. I'll just have to adjust my route!
