The only thing I haven't changed is the brake light switch but that seems to work fine and I'm sure it would throw a different code I have also replaced the wire harness to the speed sensor and brake wear sensor I know this may sound stupid but is it possible that I could be anything to do with the brake lights at the rear I say this because I only removed them and cleaned behind and put them back.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello guys I'm back again regarding psm/abs light comes straight on after starting car (2001 gen 2 Carrera 4) and stays on..code 4025. Wire check all good. New speed sensor. New Maf sensor abs module all tested and works as it should but can't get a reading from front near side wheel all the other 3 are fine. All the lights work as they should. Any help would be appreciated as this is driving me mad an auto electrician has checked the wiring and said all good but I'm not sure.

POST 2Original post

I assume you mean code 4205, which as you say is the front left ABS sensor. According to the diagnostic sheet, it can only be the wiring to the sensor, the sensor itself, or the control module. Do you have the detailed troubleshooting sheets for this code? They show the wiring and resistance checks, etc. If you would like a copy, drop me a PM with your email address.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you for your reply Richard sorry my typing error on the code. The wire check data sheet would be very helpful and much appreciated. My email address is (removed by Richard - to prevent spammers capturing it). When I receive it give me a couple of days and I will get back in touch to let you know how we go on once again thanks Richard.
