Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

easiest way is to drive to the detailer - point and say "I want those clean!"

They are also flexible enough that they can be bent 90 degrees to clean the back-side of the spokes.

clean them spotless, correct the finish, ceramic coat them, use ez detail brush every time you wash your car to keep clean, pull off once a year to clean better...

To avoid damaging your tires and rims, pick a wheel-cleaning brush with soft bristles.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If you have a Harbor Freight nearby you can pick up a wheel brush for under $5 and it will allow you to clean the inside of the rim w/o removing it. The only downside is that it can get a bit messy as the bristles fling the dirt around a bit. They are also flexible enough that they can be bent 90 degrees to clean the back-side of the spokes.
Don't use this wearing any clothes you like! I have special "wheel cleaner" shirts. Well, now I do.
Those brushes spray brake residue crap that can't be removed.
EZ-Detail brush. most big on-line detailing stores carry them. Designed for getting the cracks and crevices of motorcycles however they are amazing for inner wheel barrels.
+1 on this, but before you apply Rejex, give them a good cleaning with 3M General Purpose Adhesive remover to get all of the road film and tar off. Then apply the Rejex.
I've been doing this for years, and get great results.
I did this last time. Worked very well.
Next time, I think I'm returning to the Mad Hampster technique.
On the inside rim of each wheel, lay a bead of a mild contact cement (e.g., Sikaflex 5200). Cut a piece of hardware cloth (heavy screen) to fit the wheel, leaving a hole in the middle with just enough clearance in the center for the axle.
Lather up a couple of hampsters. Dawn dishwashing liquid does well. Lightly wet the wheel and drop the hampsters into the hampster cage you've created. Go for a drive.
The important part is to vary your speed. The little ba$tards don't move much just driving around. But if you stop quickly, they keep spinning for a while. In fact, if you race up to a stop light and slam on your brakes -- it's almost like ghetto spinners....except that if you listen, you get a really entertaining, high pitched "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" from the the little guys as they keep spinning around the inside of the wheel.
In dry weather, take a spray bottle with water so you can dampen the wheel periodically. Usually about 20-30 minutes per wheel does fine. Avoid bumpy roads or you'll be buying more hampsters. It's fine to leave the hardware cloth on your wheel for the next time you want to clean it. Saves a lot of time.
The hampsters come out clean. Ready for the kids to play with or put them back in the box until next time.
A detailing shop if it isn't a semi fly by night stand should have supplys like the big soft brushes simular to the pictured above but bigger and longer with non scratch bristles so you can clean in there. I do thing the best thing is just having wheels you can reach through to clean them. Mine I can reach through except where the calipers are in the front. The rears are just a little tight at the calipers. Everywhere else except the front calipers I can get to the inboard side of the rim even along with hand wipe the backs of the spokes and center hub. Pretty much every time I look at wheels I'm thinking about can they clean easy.
take of wheel, then GOJO that puppy. Although I don't do it everytime. Only when and if I have to swap out the track wheels.
Next set I buy, i'm powdercoating the inside wheel rim black.
To avoid damaging your tires and rims, pick a wheel-cleaning brush with soft bristles. The brush's arm is another thing to think about. The difficult-to-reach spots can be reached with a flexible long-stemmed brush.
clean them spotless, correct the finish, ceramic coat them, use ez detail brush every time you wash your car to keep clean, pull off once a year to clean better... I do the annual wheel cleaning when i take my front bumper off and clean out the radiators once a year. I also do the suspension and wheel wells cleaning at the same time..
