This is not a probability of success.

I would use classic.com to aggregate al the auction sites, then use autotemptest, autotrader, and craigslist and you are covering probably 90% of listings.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

In the current market for a clean, low mile 4S manual coupe to purchase. Besides the classifieds section here, I seem to only find really good cars on Bring a Trailer and PCar, but the prices . . .
Does anyone have any suggestions where to look?
Prices are up across the board, seems like those that find deals are on FBMarket, CL, PCNA, and word of mouth, etc., but even then it's just a right place right time kind of thing.
Are you OK posting what kinda budget range you are looking at? I don't think anyone's trying to be snarky. It'd just help to have an idea what you see as current market value for these cars.
Sorry, I wasnt trying to be snarky.
Its probably going to be tough to find a deal in todays market for a C4S manual coupe with low mileage.
Probably the most sought after non-Mezger 996.
Geez, now you tell me! I wish I had known about this place back in November when I picked up my 2003 C4S. I'm Happy though. I paid 49,600 for 40,200 miles on the clock. And cherry condition. I'm now in the process of putting another 10k into her for IMS, etc. There is perhaps something to think about though in paying in the 60's for maybe 15k fewer miles when you still need to make the IMS investment starting at a higher platform....hmmmm

Those cars are likely fully sorted. I bought my car from them last March. '03 with 56k IMS, clutch and flywheel completed and new set of Michelins. $44k. They have a 30+ year veteran Porsche mechanic on staff there who goes through all of their cars. They did a video walkthrough if the entire car for me including underside with the mechanic on a FaceTime call. Car shipped in a covered trailer. Very smooth buying experience. Basically texts and a few phone calls. The aren't the cheapest but they have very clean cars. Just crazy inventory!
i got mine on auto hunter. pcar market is good.

I will throw this one out. I am selling my 2002 C4S with just under 40K miles. It is Meridian Metallic, black heated and power sports seats. New tires and recent service. Original IMS. If you are interested PM me.
Hey I have a meridian C4S too!
I bought mine after scouring Facebook (and every other imaginable source available) for months.
if you have 70k to spend on a naturally aspirated 996, just call udrive or RF and tell them what you want exactly
I'm a big fan of CarGurus. Sourced 5 vehicles through them in the past 5 years including a 2003 C4S with 25K miles in December of 2020. Now I only paid 35K for that one, but I got lucky and was on the early side of the rapid rise in pricing. I'm sure others here have done better. It's all in the timing.
I've got a pristine '04 C4S with under 23K miles on it, IMS done last year, manual, carbon fiber trim, absolutely flawless, but it is a cab. I'll be listing it at some point soon-ish on one of the auction sites.
Here is a nationwide Autotrader search on "4S" in the years "2002 - 2005". Looks like there may be about 20-30 to choose from (didn't count them):

Thank you all. I have been "just late" on a few cars. I prefer Speed Yellow, manual and low miles with sports seats and other goodies. Not a unicorn, but slim, I know.
