Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check parameters' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check parameters' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Print out a copy of ALL your values while the car is running good, you can then use these to reference when/if your car starts to run "bad".

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello,
I purchased a Durametric to access the health of my engine. Ive connected the Durametric to my car and browsed through all the menus. Can someone run me through how i should use this tool and what parameters i should check. I know camshart deviations need to be measured and should be +-6 degrees. Is this just at idle? Do i need to warm up the engine? What other parameters should i check. How often should i check the parameters?
Thank you in advance.
I too just got a Durametric and am learning to use it. There are some great tips here - thank you. As to Jake's video, why does it appear that he is only looing at fuel trim readouts for "Adaption Range 2"? Why not Adaption Range 1 also?
Thanks
Maybe (speculating) because Adaptation Range 2 is same as FRA and that is a long term fuel trim adaptation value under load (as opposed to range 1 is which is "RKAT" and that is adaptation value near idle). Many things can have an effect on fuel trim values when near idle - like vacuum leak that can skew the result a lot. With higher load/RPM the effect of the vacuum leak diminishes and the fuel trim value is a true representation of the actual fuel system condition. As Nikasil's achilles heel is fuel in the oil (which is bad in general as well) we need to make sure that the fuel system is working properly. Hence the adaptation range is more closer to the truth than range 1.
