I fitted M030 to my C2 but there was hardly any drop over standard so fitted Eibach springs which were too low in the rear.

I am running Koni Sport shocks with Eibach springs.

that is low, Eibach springs do run lower, unless you swap them out for another as you have mentioned

Suggestion
I used the H&R springs (and Koni dampers) on my previous 996 as I was advised that the Eibachs would be a bit lower.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello everyone,
New member here from Greece.
I bought a 996 C2 manual earlier this year and have spent quite a bit of money to get it closer to where I want it to be.
Among others (IMS,AOS...) I did a complete suspension and chassis overhaul. Shocks, springs, top mounts, coffin arms, control arms etc.
Something that did not turn out as I expected was the ride height. I am running Koni Sport shocks with Eibach springs. I went for this setup because I had it on my previous car, an E46 M3 and I loved it.
On the 996 though it seems to be sitting too low. Both front and rear wheels are almost hidden in the arches and the car looks a bit ricer for my taste. I was expecting at least a bit of an arch gab like it was on my M3.
So at the moment my options are to fit M030 springs hoping those will sit higher or maybe install thicker compensating plates (Porsche makes 6.5mm front and 4mm rear). Not sure that would cut it though.
For the M030 springs does anyone know exactly which ones I should be looking for? Is it the Green/White stripe ones for the ROW C2?
Thanks!

Green and white is correct, from this picture

Taken off a 1999 996 C2 with M030 option. These will only fit a 996 C2 Coupe not a C4. M030 rear shocks are in good working condition but do not come with top mounts but have the top nut. M030 Springs are in condition with only a little bit of surface corrosion. They have white and green...

My mate tried eibach springs with Koni sport actives on his c4 (converted to a c2) he found it was too low also, he changed them for vogtland springs and is now happy with the ride height! Other people have h and r which are about an inch higher than the Eibachs
I used the H&R springs (and Koni dampers) on my previous 996 as I was advised that the Eibachs would be a bit lower. I wanted something akin to a GT3 for ride height and the H&R springs were spot on.
I fitted M030 to my C2 but there was hardly any drop over standard so fitted Eibach springs which were too low in the rear. I had some perch spacers made up to raise it, 19mm I think.
On my 1998 C2 I also have Koni sport (yellow) with Eibach Springs and now after almost 3 years it's even lower than in the beginning. Almost getting to unpractical levels of low. Thinking to swap out for H&R's
It does ride and handle well on good roads without potholes, but with an FVD deep sump I am a bit cautious.
