Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Whilst I accept it's had work done (nothing out of the ordinary), the prices paid are a bit inflated and there's also a lot of nonsense on there, like aircon cleaning kit, etc.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

that headline for £40k of invoices since the dawn of time

POST 3Original post

Shame they didn't include any relevant info on the rebuild. at 146k IMS bearing is least bearing to worry about in there. 2001 C4 engine is prone to bore scoring (not as much as the bigger engines, but still same coatings), so I'd definitely be inquiring about what went on in the rebuild.

POST 4Original post

Just looking at the spreadsheet - £2500 for a detailing.......WTF?????????

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I agree Alex and said the same about the rebuild...the devil is in the detail. For a car that's supposedly been looked after meticulously through it's life I'm staggered it's failed 7 Mots.....!!!!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Rebuild was carried out by motortune.....??

POST 7Original post

It was most likely to have been a single row if it's a 2001 it would be playing on one's mind at that mileage, Still poor info by the seller not to include details of the rebuild i'd like to see they have it available, otherwise it's guess work.

POST 8Original post

Must have been playing on his mind as he fitted one of those ims guardian gimmicks. Whilst I accept it's had work done (nothing out of the ordinary), the prices paid are a bit inflated and there's also a lot of nonsense on there, like aircon cleaning kit, etc. which is why it's had £40k spent on it. .......and then he has the front suspension done and only fits 1 new top mount.
