This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

PS5 from all-around tyres, I have them (came with the 17s I bought) and they're quite good, for UHP I'd go with F1 Asymmetric which I think ia the best tyre you can use on the 17in OEM size.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, am now in Southern Europe, and area I am in has some really rough road surfaces. Removed the 18 rims I had on, for the 17s, and the Michelin PS 3s have now gone hard so looking for recommendations on what is likely to be the best replacements. Michelin PS4/5s /other? Appreciate suggestions on best option to go for.. There must be something out there that can ride better, Michelins again? (I want to keep the car!) TIA

POST 2Original post

any 17S will be fine, assuming there is stock, the move down to 17" wheels and higher profile tyres will add a noticeable amount of comfort

POST 3Original post

I've got Cup2 17" on mine and I think they only Michelin available was PS2's which for me are fine.

POST 4Original post

PS5 from all-around tyres, I have them (came with the 17s I bought) and they're quite good, for UHP I'd go with F1 Asymmetric which I think ia the best tyre you can use on the 17in OEM size.

POST 5Original post

If the roads are really as bad as you say, i’d be tempted to just get some nankang ns20 or something equally as cheap as long as front and rear size are matching OE. Just replace as a consumable before they wear out as what little performance they do offer will probably drop off a cliff well before they’re actually worn out.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, will give that some thought, but last resort I think. Appreciate the suggestion.
