Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm looking at replacing my standard Graphite grey seats to sports Seats in my C4S ,
currently I'm struggling to find second hand sports seats in good condition and in grey .
The main reason I want to replace the seats is because I would like to colour code the backs in lapis blue to match the colour coded centre console etc .
So as it stands I can find various fronts seats on eBay usually in black for around £600 to £700 , so I'd need the leather replacing and with the Porsche Crest in the head rest ,
and then the backs painting . I know this won't be cheap or even if there's anywhere I can get this work done , but any advise would be most appreciated.
Hello
Have you tried asking any local upholsterers? When watching the many car makeover shows on TV, they always seem to take them somewhere in Birmingham, or local to the area they are in.
I know for example there is an upholsterer on the Bicester Heritage site, but their main market is older vehicles I feel, but dont see why they couldnt do yours. I guess the issue will be get the cress embossed, if it isnt from Porsche, but I may be wrong.
For the seat backs, I assume a body shop, or, you could get them wrapped in any colour, nit sure if this would be less or more cost. I need my seat backs done ideally, but as its cosmetic, Im not too bothered as I dont see them
Dont know if that helps at all
Also, don't know where you are based, but have you seen this thread?

- Interior Trimmers up North
Hi ,
I had something similar done to my old front seats but I replaced them with a used set of Recaro Pole Positions complete with crests and painted backs. May not suit you if you need to retain the Porsche connection but if not , RPM Technik in Herts sourced the seats and did all the work. Before and after pics..
Regards , Paul.
Compared to the standard seats the drop is fairly radical , I'm 6ft tall and any lower would be an issue with visibility!
Having said that , they retain the fore and aft function and don't foul the seatbelt stub either. The only real downside is access to the rear as they are fixed rather than folding but you can pass squashy bags into the back. Passengers are a different matter..
Another chip in here. I dismantled my sports seats as the backs were scratched. I gave up trying to find a matching graphite interior (plastic) paint from Porsche. I instead wrapped the backs which was a difficult task. Although look much better they are not 100% perfect as I want them. In retrospect I would opt to respray the backs as you suggest. Must admit I am not a big fan of the rear seat pockets and would delete them given the choice.
Even poor leather can be restored and dyed or sprayed back to original being cheapest option - leather needs treatment to restore subtleness as it dries out and is neglected by many owners. I chatted to the owner as Bicester upholsterers earlier in the year and they would certainly look a restoring any car interior.
However, my long term project would be to replace with Recaro's instead.
