what changes do I need to make to make this work? has anyone done this conversion? car is stuck in a garage with a mechanic unfamiliar with this territory. any help appreciated. piscator

Don't do it. Major differences in ABS, DME, CAN Bus interior, fuel pump, fuel return(less) etc etc etc

I hear u Not altogether encouraging kevlar is stepping up to task going whar no man with any sense has gone before. if it cant be done reasonably will accept that. I hate abs on boxster as it has almost killed me often but didnt realize issues w/ that too may sell replacement engine already bought and get a 99 3.4 wreck

It has been done before and amount of wiring changes and such needed is known (not easy). Highly recommend you find a 99 3.4L.
