Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2005 997 carrera s 36k miles just bought it used CPO get it home approx 15 miles notice oil leak in driveway, put the car on my lift and its leaking oil from case just in front of small flat oil pan towards front of car NOT the rear main, while taking it back to dealer low coolant light goes on and red light starts blinking temp guage goes to 250,pull over shut it off have it flat beddded back to dealer, they have the car 3 weeks to fix and now after doing this job they say its still leaking,I want new motor ,they say they will have it fixed in 3 days, doubt it,is this a problem anyone here has experienced or heard of,Im waiting to lemon law it,I asked for money back already and they said no,Ive had my own repair bus 30 years so they know they cant pull a fast one on me ,doesnt make sense they would split the case again to try to re seal it again ?

POST 2Original post

What state do you live in? If in CA, then you're out of luck since the lemon law here applies to new cars only and after a number of reasonable attempts by the dealer to fix the problem, usually about 2 or more.

POST 4Original post

In some states it does apply to used cars bought from a dealer when it is a safety issue or would cause the car to fail a state inspection.
