Suggestion

You'll need to make sure the headlights of both cars are the same shape as there were changes made during different model years on the Turbos that I don't believe mirrored the standard 996 headlight in the same model year.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello guys, need some help please. Can a 996 turbo front bumper be fitted to a standard 996 without any modifications. Dont want to have to change fenders or anything, and could one use standard bumper reinforcement. all help appreciated. thanks and regards Johnny B

POST 2Original post

There are Turbo look bumpers available that will fit a standard 996. As for whether or not an OEM bumper from a Turbo will fit a 996 the answer is maybe. You'll need to make sure the headlights of both cars are the same shape as there were changes made during different model years on the Turbos that I don't believe mirrored the standard 996 headlight in the same model year. To be sure I'd call a Porsche dealer, give them the specifics on your car and they should be able to confirm one way of the other if it will fit. Most aftermarket suppliers can definitely fix you up with a look alike bumper.
