Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
My Continental GTC was probably the best at this...
Leading evidence: 'best at this' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'best at this' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Set correctly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
Wind noise can also be apparent at high speed but I find that's usually because the window hasn't been set correctly after a regulator change.

Suggestion
All be it prevents convenient access to the rear seats and you couldn't put anyone in them and use the wind defector.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Looking for my next 996 and weighing up the pros and cons of a Coupe vs a Cab. Loved the Coupe i had before but thinking about a Turbo Cab. Is a cab noisy in the cabin?
Not really. Obviously a bit louder than a coupw, but worth it for the opportunity for top down drivinb.
Few creaks and squeaks as with any convertible of this age.
I'd say this was pretty accurate.
I've had cabriolets for years and the 911 is one of the most coupe-like interiors with the hood up. My Continental GTC was probably the best at this... but I digress.
A convertible for spring/summer driving, for me at least, is a delight and my 991 has absolutely nailed it in terms of the wind deflector. I don't know enough about the 996 and whether it has one. Me and Mrs N cruised at 85 in France for many miles and it was perfect.
I have had both in 996 guise. The coupe is a little quieter but it's amazing how civilised the convertible is. They should have a wind deflected and this is very effective. All be it prevents convenient access to the rear seats and you couldn't put anyone in them and use the wind defector. But over all - I would say excellent.
As stated above - it's a very easy cab to live with. Squeaks and rattles from the actual roof frame are the only things that would bug me, but I guess they vary from 996 to 996 dependant on age and wear. Wind noise can also be apparent at high speed but I find that's usually because the window hasn't been set correctly after a regulator change. It's deffo more practical than a coupe as stated above.

I have both in 997 form and with the hood down at 70 it is almost silent.
Hood up no worse than my coupe.
Best to test drive and them decide.
I love both of mine.
