Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I’ve used them before on another high performance car that got inspected by my state.
Leading evidence: 'Inspect by my state' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Inspect by my state' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I ordered the
Soul Exhaust
pipe for my
Cayman
on 4/15. Didn't hear a peep from them for two weeks. No a big deal, but I called Monday and left a message as well as sent an email politely asking for an update on my order. Crickets. Today my package arrived (no shipping notification prior to this). I excitedly opened my package only to find one of the
exhaust
tips has scratches/pitting in the finish. ☹
Have you contacted
Soul
? I got
headers
and
exhaust
from them about a year ago. My experience has been good. I’m sure they will replace the scratched part.
I sent an email with pictures today. When I call it just goes to VM.
More than anything im just disappointed in their quality control. That tip, while not terrible, shouldn't have been packed and sent out.
I feel for you, it’s always a bummer when you eagerly anticipate the delivery of a new part for your car. Arranging your time off to be able to tackle the project. Only to be let down when you receive either a wrong part or a damaged part. And then it’s like pulling teeth to get a response from the vendor in a timely fashion.
That’s my bigger gripe. A wrong or damaged part can be replaced, but only if the company can be reached, or respond to your inquiries. Only wish I could recover the many hours I’ve spent on the phone, on hold, or banging out texts or emails trying to resolve an issue. Mental note made on poor customer experience from
Soul Exhaust
.
My mechanic had to drill out and shim the flanges on my
Akrapovic
OAPs a couple weeks ago. When I picked up the car he told me the only reason he recommended them was they usually have OEM fitment & tolerances.
His 2nd pic was
Soul
, decently regarded by my shop and nothing negative said.
Hopefully they’ll make it right, since we get
Porsche
taxed on these pipes it’s not a big deal for the shop to send another set out in my opinion.
We've dealt with
Soul
for a long time and their customer service has always been top notch. Reach out to Paul directly;
[email removed]
. I'm sure he'll get right back to you.
Things slip through the cracks occasionally and it sucks when it happens to you. Soul is a good company and I'm sure they'll take care of you.
I’m sure
Soul
will make it right for you. I’ve got the valved
Soul
cat back
exhaust
on order for my
981 Cayman
S. I let my shop order it directly from
Soul
. The shop has been impressed with their communication and service so far (delivery has been delayed due to some supplier issues).
My car is white so I decided to go with the black pipes for contrast. I’m not going to install it, so I‘ll report back once it’s installed.
Update -
Soul
emailed me yesterday. They are going to send out a new set of tips. They have to do a warranty replacement through who ever makes these, but they are letting me hang onto the old ones until the new ones arrive. So at least I can do the install. 👍🏻
Sorry to hear, but my experience is also bad. My shop recommended
Soul
cats after mine failed. They told me just as good as the
Porsche
ones and to not to worry about CA SMOG. The
Soul
site specifically says not to worry. I have already had to pay more than $500 for the first SMOG check and now I am looking at the
next
. They recently changed their website to now say "
NOTE
This product is not CARB certified and may not be legal for use on emissions controlled vehicles; intended for off road use only "
Of course they knew they weren't CARB certified so now I have to go thru hoops to get my car smogged. Never buying a Soul product again and will make every effort to advertize against them.
Thats a big oof, they never should have stated anything carb if they hadn’t received a number for it.
If you need help:
I can vouch for GESI but you’re not gonna like the price. I’ve used them before on another high performance car that got inspected by my state. What a pain.

Luckily we don’t have a visual check at most shops in most of the restore country. Just
ObDIi
ready check. If all the systems are ready status you are good to go.
Two weeks doesn’t seem like that long if you ask me. Those “blemishes” also wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. But on the topic of
soul
performance, don’t knock it until you actually try the product. Their
exhaust
and
headers
are some of the best made for our cars.
