Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Yeah I think so, he also describes my car at around six minutes in (or to be more accurate the level of build of my car, because it's not the only one) as "the car Porsche never built" they're calling it a Carrera RS, a wide body RS, GT2 radiators, RS running gear, etc.

Ive met the guys a few times and seen their work, cars look of a very high standard, great that they are using the 996 platform to showcase their work.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Top bloke is Reece @ MLR. Nice to see a little more exposure.... was that your blue 996 in the booth H...?

POST 3Original post

The 996 seems to be following a similar path the 964 went down from no one wanted one to very desirable, (although quite away to go yet but i can see it) there are quite a few companies now using them for singer style projects.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I guess because of it's relatively low value £10-£20k and lack of electronic stuff it's really the only one that you can do this sort of thing to now. A C2 964 manual coupe is going to be £80-100k which means owners don't have the appetite to tear them to bits , repaint them and turn them into something special , they're too valuable..it's got to be a 996.

POST 5Original post

Great guys at MLR, very understated in what they do but huge skills.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The interior of the 996 also suits this kind of build , it's easy to modify and personalise. I'm not sure the 997 , with it's Mondeo like interior , would have the same feel. Anything after that just won't happen.

Wrrrrrrroooonnngggg The 9x6 platform that moved away from the classic lines of thr original 911 layout. They put it right with the 9x7 platform onwards. It wasnt until I got my aircooled car that I realised how well they gave tribute to the original layout, even down to window switches. Great design, hence why they went back to it.

POST 9Original post

I don;t know, I think you can ge tthe 996 interior to look fairly good.

What's the transmission got to do with that level of work...............??????? Shameful comment and will hurt many feelings of many " auto " owners

POST 14Original post

Its not an opinion. it's fact. If theyd got it right they would have stayed with it. True story

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How would a restomod builder deal with this then?
