Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Rennlist. I'm a new member. I've been reading on this forum for a while but only recently become a member. I just bought a used 996 c4 with a bad strut mount. I've found that the 997 c4 strut mount looks very similar to the 996 c4 but with a much better price. Here is a link to the mount. https://www.ecstuning.com/ES1498714/...FQdafgodviYHOA Do you guys know if this would fit the 996 c4. I've tried searching but cannot find any information on this topic. Thanks

Is your car a c2 or c4?

POST 4Original post

c2 but shouldn't matter on NB vehicles when it comes to strut mounts.

There is a difference. Take a look at the pictures of both and you will see. Here is a c2 mount: http://cf-design911-3.datadial.info/uploads/images/product/Suspension_parts/99734301801-1lr.jpg Here is a c4 mount: https://www.google.com/search?q=996+turbo+strut+mount&safe=off&client=ms-android-verizon&prmd=sivn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiWj4im15_JAhVRyWM KHQNWC_oQ_AUICCgC#safe=off&tbm=isch&q=996+strut+mount&imgrc=h1we2wkjHw2O qM%3A
