This is not a probability of success.

Once I got it to the garage it was time to try and jump start it after a cursory check of oil and water, but it was a no go, no fuel.

From that I made some Perspex windows and bolted them in using the oem fixing points

Onto the rear windows, the car did not come with any so it was back to the old school and use some masking tape to make a rough template
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It all started with buying a 996 C2 Manual at an auction site unseen, based on the man math's of the box being worth what I paid for the car.
As you can see from the pictures it was stripped as if it had been prepped for paint.
Once I got it to the garage it was time to try and jump start it after a cursory check of oil and water, but it was a no go, no fuel. So stuck a few litres in and still no go.
A quick check and the pump was dead, so a trip to the shops to pick up an universal intank pump and see if i could make it work.
Put the pump in and it lives.
Next was a strip of the interior, a power wash and put it on the scales for a quick weigh.
You are a brave man but great to see you got it going. Looking at the last photo it looks like it’s cleaned up ok and it’ll be interesting to see what you do with it
There is a thriving classic Porsche group in Dubai and 996's are just eligible, there is a lot of knowledge in the group if you need help, if you need an introduction let me know.
Next it was a day out to the industrial waste lands of Sharjah to source the missing panels.
986 Boxster front bumper
996 rear bumper
987 Cayman Door Mirrors
997 Door seals
997 sunroof panel
997 roof trim strips
996 arch liners
997 outer door window seals
986 inner door seals
Along with some head light blanks and eBay special tail lights
At the same time there was a slot at the paint shop so off it went and I also picked up a set of used BBS rims
Next stage put the panels back on the car, bumpers first
So the first thing was the center rad from a Boxter S, with associated coolant pipework.
The only mod was rivnuts to bolt it in
Next up Tow Hooks, a requirement for track days and the OEM are too small for the recovery strops, Rather than buy the aftermarket direct thread in at a $100, some 15 quid MSA tow hooks and 15 min with the drill and angle grider they bolt into the stock tow points.
And fit through the stock bumper opening
Next the sunroof panel i stripped upper panel out off the cassette sunroof mechanism and made some brackets to bolt it in place, rain is not really an issue.
Onto the rear windows, the car did not come with any so it was back to the old school and use some masking tape to make a rough template
Then transfer that to a sheet of plastic
From that I made some Perspex windows and bolted them in using the oem fixing points
The drilled the door frame to bolt in the Cayman mirrors, and clipped in the 997 roof rails.
