I swapped the comfort seats in my 99 C4 for a set of hardback winged sports seats and can advise that they probably allow you to sit around an inch lower, and hold you in alot tighter depending on the condition and age of the side bolsters.....worth doing as our early cars don't have the tilt adjustment on the steering column.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know the difference between standard and sports seats in an early 996 C2.1? I'm particularly interested in the seating height. I realise that you can fit 997 seats or buckets etc, but I'm just interested in the difference between factory 996.1 options. Many thanks

Also worth mentioning that the leather is alot more perforated on the sports seats, especially on the " wings ".
