SP will lift 50mm in less than a second with an accumulator and is universal fitment - though sized to your shock - mine are 40mm and I'm using 110mm cups to reduce volume - the 2L will be enough to fill them at least once, so I'm not sitting there buzzing for a few seconds to fill the bags, its instant.
Leading evidence: 'Test even gave you links last time' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). I see they offer a remote too, had that option for my switchable exhaust, again, just not what i want, used an OEM PSE button for that.

I bought the cups on black Friday for exactly £284.91 shipped, and building my own kit with a mac air solenoid and small 2L accumulator, with the viair 425c, which is the fastest filling compressor in their range.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Personally I want to replace the standard shocks with KWs and I'm more inclined to go for a premium turnkey lift solution from KW that is built specifically for my car.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi everyone
Just wondering if anyone has put a lift kit on a 996 turbo and if so how much did it cost? Just to be open we’ve seen a house with a driveway that I can’t get my car on but having the lift kit fitted would get me over that obstacle. Getting rid of the car isn’t an option as I’m loving it so just thinking of alternatives
Pretty bad as I’ve already scraped the chin spoiler trying it. TBH it doesn’t look bad and just looks a gradual slope so I’m thinking of options.
Thanks for the suggestion
I priced it up and from memory I reckoned on £12-14k for my 997RS to have the full all round KW HLS kit and set up, so a 996 would presumably be the same.
For now at least I've decided it's a keeper, so I'll get it done next summer when I'm in the UK for long enough.
It's the same issue as any parts really, they're expensive, the cars are expensive when new, so the parts will always be expensive, I know you know this, but it catches a lot of people out, they buy a 996 for £15k and then expect that parts will reflect what they paid and not the original purchase price.
I'm going to get them to jack my 996 build up as much as possible on the (non lift KWs), it's a UK road car and a C4S, but we haven't actually talked about ride height and because it's all RS parts I'm sure to end up with lower ride height and I don't want it to be like the 997RS. If I could go back to the start I'd probably ask them to build it Dakar style, but all the parts are bought now, although from what I read you can add the HLS kit to current KW suspension, so it might just be £3-4k to upgrade and then whatever they charge for fitting and set up.
Basically not cheap though, I haven't found anywhere I can't get to in my 997RS, I just hate the scraping of the lip and brake ducts.
Don't be daft, they're 650 quid! Tried and tested even gave you links last time.
Mike at sports and classic uses them and another outfit online sells kits for cayman GT4's for years. All by the same people which you can buy direct. I bought the cups on black Friday for exactly £284.91 shipped, and building my own kit with a mac air solenoid and small 2L accumulator, with the viair 425c, which is the fastest filling compressor in their range.
I'm going to use an oem dash button with a lambo lift button decal available online.

Ignore the bit where mike thinks he's the only one! Lol he's even covered the sticker on the lift cup! Custom built!? available online!
I guess that's another solution, but there are different types of customers, some want to do the sourcing and working out and get their hands dirty to build a Frankenstein kit and warranty it themselves.
And some will take it to Center Gravity and have them fit a proper KW kit that will transform the car and be warrantied.
I don't have the time for the former but I work hard so I can afford the latter, so vive la difference.
I'll work on my own race motorcycles but I stay in my swim lane and Porsche cars go to the Indy garage.
I live about 20 mins from Atherstone, I have no doubt CG will be more than happy to fit the aircups, it's a very nice elegant solution. SP warranty their kits anyway.
Mike at S&C is no amateur, if it's good enough for him...
Many happy GT4 owners fitting the aircups.
I know nothing about them being good or bad and I agree Mike is no amateur, but there are different solutions to suit different people and pockets. Personally I want to replace the standard shocks with KWs and I'm more inclined to go for a premium turnkey lift solution from KW that is built specifically for my car.
KW are a premium product and their prices seem competitive against other similar premium products, so I'm inclined to believe that products down at the other end of the scale that are many thousands of pound cheaper, are cheaper for a reason.
Well, the choice is out there i guess. Whatever you do, don't go drilling holes to fit aftermarket backlit momentary buttons supplied in KW kits. I see they offer a remote too, had that option for my switchable exhaust, again, just not what i want, used an OEM PSE button for that.
Which is why i want an OEM switch for FAL. You can apply a new decal to the switch, this Lambo one should work, jut scrape off the ink from your OEM button and apply the transfer. If i can find a Porsche one I'll use that, maybe a bit more googling required.

KW only lifts 30mm and doesn't use an accumulator. it also requires a sizeable spring perch and your limited to KW shocks. If that's for you then great.
I'm not afraid to spend money when its required, I've got 4 way reigers on my other car. I just think the SP kit is a better solution that's extremely good value and it'll satisfy my OEM+ interior objective, plus i had a few of the components from other projects. I love little projects like this and enjoy putting it together to make it work.
If you want to go a bit higher end, then geartronics might sell you an accumulator (i think he's chilled out a bit these days) with all the integrated pressure switches, I've got one on my other car, its a nice piece. Though MME motorsport will definitely sell you theirs - jut tidies up the wiring and makes things more elegant - you'll still have money to burn even with high end parts such as those.
Anyway, hope it helps someone out who doesn't feel like spending half their car's value on a FAL kit.
I agree about the button and I don't want another key fob, I've seen people put the button in their ashtray, so if you take it out when you sell then you just need to buy another ashtray, it's also invisible if you keep the ashtray closed. The KW kit I was looking at rises by 45mm, which should do the trick.
I'm not sure about an accumulator, I've been told it's instant, but I'd have to check how.
Twenty years ago I'd have been doing the same, shopping around and seeing what I could do myself, especially on a £30k car, but these days my time is the most expensive thing I have and on a £140-160k 997RS I'd rather just pay a professional suspension place to do a drive-in/drive-out solution that I don't have to think about. I don't even want to go there, I'm thinking about arranging for a transporter to take it while I'm away, so when I come back I just get in it and drive. I'm stressed out with business at the moment and I'm happy to exchange some money for their time instead of giving mine away, it's not pretentiousness, I just value my time more than the money at the moment. I've also had a belly-full of engineering for one lifetime, I just want to drive my cars now.
I'll look into different solutions though, I like KWs so that was my go-to solution, but I'll see what else might suit.
The SP cups do look like a good solution if you're happy with your current suspension and want a relatively inexpensive lift kit.
