I'm guessing since all single din head units are the same size you can just get a single din blanking plate or storage pocket for a fiver. Edit: Sorry I thought you meant the head unit.

There are quite a few options for changing around the various plug ins in the centre console. Check out a parts diagram for options. I fitted a double DIN then moved the climate buttons to the bottom and fitted the little storage option above it to tuck USB cables from the head unit and to take my phone Ipod when connected.

oooh - a cassette holder would be useful - i have the PCM1.0 and have purchased some cassettes from Vinted - there is no storage in these cars!!
