Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I thought i was doing well with the 147,000 miles i have on mine, but have a long way to go to catch the owner of this 996.2 posted on X!!
Any more high mileage heroes on here?
There was a write up in Porsche world and 911 a few years back about a 3.4 .1 had covered 300000 miles still on original engine the guy that owned it used it to deliver parts for race cars across europe. It was eventually rebuilt at 300000 but never imploded just a bit of cam pad broke off and imbedded itself in one of the bearings. I'll see if i can find the copy later.
Not sure i'd have to read it again .He said it was better than any delivery van ever could be and it had got him out of trouble many times, it ran run flat tyres and had a bigger petrol tank fitted i recall. He said he'd keep it forever so i wonder if he still has it.
I'm on 175,000 miles on my 996.2 orignal engine and ims. clutch was done at 125,000 miles. 153k miles had to drop the engine out to do the brake lines, engine mounts, AOS, oil pressure sensor, water pipes and rads and air con pipes and condensers. now have missfire on cylinder 6 but bore scope is all good. Just changing alternator and air con compressor.
Any day now I will hit 150k miles on my manual 996.2 C4S. Clutch was done before I got it but the engine and gearbox appear original.
I will take a photo of the event if possible but sods law dictates that I'll either a) forget or b) be going at 70 and miss it.
