Suggestion

Did you check the water level before you put the car away last year as it maybe that the water level hasn’t in fact changed whist sitting.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After all the rain it almost feels like a spring day outside. I need to collect my daughter from University today and have no car. Ideal day for the 996, right? After the car has been sitting since its last outing in September 2025 - I started her today after checking oil and water. The car has been on a Ctek battery conditioner. I noted that the coolant level was a little lower than the minimum mark. I filled up with the correct Porsche coolant and water from my dehumidifier. I noted that there is a rubber pipe shown in the picture below that had drips of oily water mix on it. Any idea what is above here that might be leaking? Odd that the coolant is pink, but this oily mix looked green and dirty.

Green could be air con. I've got a leak to attend too and its green in colour

POST 3Original post

No aircon on the left hand side. That's been on there for months by the looks of it. Clean it all off and check again next drive.

POST 4Original post

Did you check the water level before you put the car away last year as it maybe that the water level hasn’t in fact changed whist sitting. That picture doesn’t really show anything much to worry about, especially if here is nothing on the floor. Top up and keep an eye on it on the next drive and park up.

POST 5Original post

Green could also be power steering fluid. A/C is acid bright green, PAS is dull green. Although the pic seems to be the left side of the engine and PAS and AC are both to the right.

POST 6Original post

Accurate colour of Air Con unfortunately for me and hopefully the O ring i got will fix it.
