Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I had planned to, but instead am going to use Eric at BumperPlugs to paint those parts for me once the car arrives.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Mark, Please upload these the the respective galleries in the Images section, I'd suggest placing the red cars in the Guards Red album and the Artic Silver cars in the Artic SIlver album. Thanks for sharing, great shots! Where do they come from? Look like press photos to me...

POST 3Original post

Will do. They first appeared on Rennteam I believe. Not sure where they are from.

POST 4Original post

Great post mark! Are all the Caymans coming with the front lip painted silver as shown in the guards red pictures? Or was that a custom job?

POST 5Original post

I believe that they are all painted silver like that, but other options such as Aluminum are available (eventually)

POST 6Original post

You guys notice in the first two red pictures..... Look at the INSIDE of the car.... Alot of red PAINTED in there. Not just the belts.

POST 7Original post

Noticed that also..wonder if those parts are going to be painted the exterior color...

POST 8Original post

Am so pleased I choose those Sport Design 19' wheels - they look superb!! Roll on November!!!

POST 9Original post

Yes I noticed the painted parts. The rear strut tower is part of the 'interior design package in exterior color'. The seatbelt mouting isn't even listed on the Order Guide as far as I know. It didn't look like anything had been done to the doors and the seats are standard. It's a factory car, they can do what they want. The front lip trim is standard in 'titan(ium)' as per the Order Guide. The car looks terrific. I also like those 19'wheels, but I had the old 'sport design' wheels on my 986 and cleaning them was more than I could tolerate. I'm sure it will be worth it to those who get them, however.

POST 10Original post

DaveC is correct the strut towers are part of that interior design package which I believe you cannot order in the US at this point in time. I had planned to, but instead am going to use Eric at BumperPlugs to paint those parts for me once the car arrives.
