Porsche have their own specs for oil, for the op's car the spec is Porsche A40. Porsche have a partnership with Mobil so this is their recommended brand and Mobil's premium synthetic is the 0w-40 so this is normally recommended. However, as long as the oil is Porsche A40 approved and from a reputable brand then all will be good, usually they are 0w-40 or 5w-40. You would move to 5w-50 etc if the car is going to be used on track on a regular basis or it is using oil quite a bit.
