Suggestion

Figured it out, it attaches to the top of this hose that connects to the scavenge pump (there’s a nipple that’s broken off on mine - there’s also no part number on the hose so I’ll be fixing it using epoxy and maybe some washer fluid hoses/connectors or something).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

2007 Cayman S with triptronic 135K miles UPDATED: solution in the 3rd post I recently swapped out my plenum because the flapper inside broke free (you can read the ongoing full story here if you want, im posting here hopefully for more exposure) When i replaced the plenum i couldn't remember if this was hooked up to anything? the two changeover valves on the intake fingers i believe are used to actuate the flappers in the plenum and the balance tube. But i dont know where the one with the arrow goes to, its mounted sideways on the plenum mount or the engine hoist bracket. Ive searched for a diagram and have had no luck. The closest one i could find is this blurry pic: currently i have 1 connected to A and 2 connected to B and nothing connected to 3. any ideas?

POST 2Original post

wanted to update with my solution: the 3rd changeover valve connects to the transmission cooler: hopefully this will help out future owners of this spec:

POST 3Original post

THIS IS WRONG!!! I have taken apart two engines and seen it myself. Changeover valve by air filter goes to balance tube flap. Changeover valve on passengers side goes to plenum flap.

POST 4Original post

Where does “from vac” connect to? Is there a port on the LHS intake half?
