Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 1 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I have a 06 boxster base 5 spd manual Had fault code for passenger door actuator. I replaced twice. Still fault code. Wouldn’t auto up. I bought a salvage window motor. All work now but comes up with these faults. Maybe came out of salvage PDK

POST 3Original post

If you have a manual trans, then something is up because two of the errors shown are related to a tiptronic...? I see there are 2 codes showing for the passenger door, but it's not showing what they are. I think you need to dig deeper into the 2 door fault codes, to see what they are. As for the tiptronic error, it sounds like the car is misconfigured, so you need to fix that. You said that something "came out of salvage PDK "... what do you mean by that? What was pulled from a PDK vehicle? The door actuator? That shouldn't make tip-codes showup in the car... something else may have been replaced and not reprogrammed?

POST 4Original post

I bought the window motor from salvage yard I asked them if they had vin from car. They do not. Only thing I can think of it came out of an automatic pdk car. What that has to do with a window motor?

POST 6Original post

I don't think the window motor has anything to do with those errors. I think you just have a configuration error in the car that is unrelated to the window motor. Are you saying you didn't have these codes before the window motor replacement, and now you do? That would be weird, but if your battery goes low then maybe a module lost its mind and lost the config or something. Just go in and fix it... or ignore it if the car is operating fine.

POST 7Original post

Yes it only showed up. Installing salvage window motor

POST 9Original post

If this thread reads a bit wacky - that's because it's a merge of two threads on the same topic by the OP. Folks - please don't do that. It makes work for moderators, and starts to make us look like Facebook.. (where they have the option to blast the same post as many "groups" as you belong to and want..)

POST 10Original post

I think I have some insight into this - and have responded to the question on another forum - adding my input here in case it helps someone down the line ( that said it has yet to be proven correct so consider it not definite) The window motor actually also contains the door module/control unit. They have coding values for a fair few things, one of which is "Manual Transmission" yes/no - I think this is to do with the feature on cars with memory seats and auto trans having the ability to dip the mirror when reversing, but I don't know that for sure. So, it seems entirely possible that the salvage unit came from an auto trans car. One of the codes actually points to a coding error ( cant remember which one ) Coding wise: PIWIS can change it, Duramteric might (not tested it), Foxwell NT530 might (again, not tested), and perhaps THINKDIAG I have also read of people swapping the control modules over - although that was when someone used an audi motor, and put the porsche module into it which seemed to work. Hope this helps someone.
